What does it mean to belong somewhere — or to leave? We close out the summer series with prompts about home, roots, and the places that shaped us. A reflective session to end the season.

A free evening of poetry writing and spoken word. We'll kick off with guided prompts to spark new work, then open the mic for anyone who wants to share. All voices welcome — first-timers and seasoned poets alike.

Inspired by the meditative joy of painting, this workshop invites you to pick up a brush and let go of perfection. We'll work with acrylics to build landscapes and scenes using wet-on-wet techniques, bold color, and happy accidents. No experience needed — just a willingness to play. All materials provided.
Setting is more than backdrop — it shapes mood, character, and meaning. We'll practice writing vivid, specific places using all five senses, drawing on Sunriver and Central Oregon as our muse.
The lyric essay borrows from poetry — fragmentation, image, white space — to explore ideas in a non-linear way. We'll read contemporary examples and experiment with form to find new ways into your subject.
